When to plant radishes
Plant radishes 2–6 weeks before the last spring frost in spring, or 4–6 weeks before the first fall frost for a fall crop. Wait until the soil is at least 40°F. That works out to zone 5b (late March to late April), zone 7a (early March to early April) and zone 9a (mid January to mid February).

When to harvest radishes
Pull as soon as roots reach size, usually 3–4 weeks after sowing; they turn woody and hot if left.
